Amid information culture, brevity = art

In the spirit of New Yorker cartoons, Playboy party jokes, Shakesperean sonnets, haiku, Sudoku, and accidental fortune-cookie comedy, please welcome SixWordSciFi.

Born in a nanosecond or hewn over agonizing days, these widgets of widsom can be written by anyone without requirement of technical skill, shared among friends inspired or amused, and enjoyed by everyone for a momentary diversion or a postcard moment of exquisite [kiss fingertips here] poetry.

They are, at their best, an art form of constraint-based elegance and a pleasant exercise for the creative but trivia-muddled mind, at their worst mechanical plant-and-payoff gags or just another form of early-adopter snark - but in aggregate, I believe they can make for a pulsing digital testament of human vitality.
